“We have taken the Ute Mate through Western Queensland, Birdsville, part of the Simpson, Walkers Crossing track to Innaminka, Dig Tree, Coongie Lakes, Strezlecki road, Arkaroola and the Southern Flinders ranges SA, Darling River and Warrambungles NSW and then another trip to the High Country in Victoria and NSW.
We have done about 16,000km in those trips plus some travelling in South East Queensland and Northern NSW. The ute mate has been on a lot of dirt roads and tracks and has performed wonderfully with no dust inside at all. The Ute Mate is so easy to set up and pack up and we have set up easily in the dark a couple of times after bigger travelling days than expected. In the Alpine country we moved about quite a bit and it only takes a few minutes to set up before you can have a beer or wine, light the fire and sit down.
The high country had sun, wind, rain, snow and hail and we camped comfortably always. The Ute Mate has been great and always has plenty of lookers in the camp areas. We are using it on short trips at the moment and planning a WA trip next year.
